Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – Kigali City Tour – Transfer to Virunga National Park, Congo

You will begin with a Kigali city tour visiting some of the city’s important attractions, including:

After lunch, continue your journey westwards through Rwanda’s beautiful countryside to Gisenyi, located on the shores of Lake Kivu.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Virunga National Park

After an early breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by Virunga park rangers.

The trek duration depends on the location of the gorilla family and may take between 1–6 hours. Walking through the dense tropical forest, you will search for one of Virunga’s habituated mountain gorilla families.
